Claire Louise was delighted to be commissioned to create an exclusive illustration of the iconic Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens for a bespoke range of giftware.
Inspired by the building's magnificent Victorian architecture and rich cultural heritage, Claire created a detailed watercolour illustration of the museum's historic frontage. The artwork celebrates one of Sunderland's most treasured landmarks, home to the first publicly funded museum outside London and the beautiful Winter Gardens inspired by the famous Crystal Palace.
The illustration has since been developed into a collection of bespoke gifts and souvenirs, allowing visitors to take home a lasting reminder of this much-loved North East attraction. Today, the collection can be found in the museum's gift shop, where it continues to celebrate the history, architecture, and cultural significance of this remarkable venue.
It has been a privilege to work with Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens on this special project and to see the finished products showcased within such an inspiring destination.
